BackgroundThe Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program (AVCLP) is the initiative of representatives of regional economic, community and agency groups. It is modelled on the successful Williamson Leadership Program and the Fairley Community Leadership Program and also draws on the experiences of the Australian Rural Leadership Program.
The Program offers participants the opportunity to meet and question a broad cross section of regional, state and national leaders from a range of experiences and backgrounds.
The Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program aims to encourage and enhance qualities of leadership in its participants for the greater benefit of the wider regional community.
The geographic region covered by the Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program encompasses the following local government areas: Alpine Shire, Albury City, Benalla Rural City, Indigo Shire, Mansfield Shire, Towong Shire, Rural City of Wangaratta and the Alpine Resorts of Mt Hotham and Falls Creek. RationaleThe ability of the North East Victoria region to diversify and strengthen its economic and resource base and therefore be equipped to compete internationally, depends significantly on the capacity and the strength of its leadership. The Alpine Valleys Community Leadership Program is a major investment in our region and its future. It builds networks that not only cross regional, state and national boundaries, but also industry boundaries.
Participants of the AVCLP will be better equipped to lead the Alpine Valleys region into the future. How you can help
